TRAVELLERS seeking performance, functionality, innovation and luxurious style can look to the latest collection by Tumi, together with its retail partner Valiram, for satisfaction.
It is not easy for a brand to stay in touch with the constantly evolving needs of its customers but the international premium travel, business and lifestyle accessories brand has got it right once again with the release of the Tumi Fall 2019 collection.
The new collection boasts a variety of travel bags and luggage for both men and women, with an unwavering attention to details.
“We are inspired by the enlightenment from our customers, who constantly give us feedback to make our products better, ” said Tumi regional general manager Tan Yin Yin.
Among the gems highlighted at the event were the relaunched and redesigned Tahoe collection featuring sleek fabrics with flexible silhouettes for different types of backpacks and sling bags for the modern traveller.
Tumi’s 19 Degree Aluminium travel gear, which shimmers in the Banyon Leaf colour, is also a stellar option. According to Tan, the treatment of the aluminium was different this time round, as the brand had embossed designs onto the material to create a perforated, textured feel that hides scratches and dents.
While its Alpha Bravo men’s collection was launched a few years ago, Tumi is innovating the types of fabrics it uses for the core collection, switching it up with the brushed blue hue for the season.
As for its collection for women, Tan introduced the new raspberry floral print tote, which she noted was a constant request by customers. Apart from the seasonal print, it will also be available in solid colours or leather. For further personalisation, danglers such as coin pouches and other accessories are also available.
The collection’s evening preview, held at the newly-opened restaurant and lounge BlackByrd overlooking the Kuala Lumpur city skyline, was attended by up-and-coming and successful entrepreneurs, celebrities and friends of the brand.
Among those present were Vincent Tan, Shaine Wong, Tong Bing Yu, Roen Cian, Anjoe Koh, Daniel Tan, Blink, Raf Yaakob, Mawar Rashid and Mia Chai.
Tumi is a favourite for frequent traveller and actor Chris Pratt, who previously kicked off the brand’s regional campaign last April by showing his pre-journey packing skills for his first Hong Kong trip in a lighthearted video while also starring in the brand’s Asia-Pacific and Middle East campaign.
