Over 2, 000 houses damaged by strong winds

A TOTAL of 2, 022 families in Penang sustained damage to their homes during the storm on Aug 9, said state welfare, caring society and environment committee chairman Phee Boon Poh.

He said the numbers were broken down by districts to 895 in north Seberang Prai, 183 in central Seberang Prai, 69 in south Seberang Prai, 406 in southwest and 469 in northeast districts.
