Need to act on transboundary haze

KUANTAN: Tired of the yearly recurrence of the haze blanketing the country, a Pahang legislator is urging for criminal action against the perpetrators responsible for open burning practices, even if they take place beyond our shores.

Semambu assemblyman Lee Chean Chung has called for the enactment of a Transboundary Haze Pollution Act to tackle the problem which affects millions across the region.
