State govt urged to resolve estate workers’ housing woes

AFTER 20 years of waiting fruitlessly for the houses promised to them, 54 families of estate workers from Bukit Beruntung are now pinning their hopes on the Selangor government to resolve the issue.

A group of 20 representatives led by Parti Sosialis Malaysia secretary-general A. Sivarajan held a peaceful demonstration outside the state secretariat building prior to submitting their memorandum to the mentri besar.
