LANDOWNERS of the illegal dumpsite on fire next to the Silk Highway Sungai Long toll plaza could face up to RM750,000 in compounds and a possible jail term.

Firemen have been trying to put out the fire – which has shrouded Bandar Sungai Long, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Taman Rakan and Bandar Kajang in haze – on the 1ha land since July 30.
