Digital-ageing is caused by the invisible harm of blue light pollution which causes skin discolouration, inflammation and weakening of the surface.
To counter the adverse effects of blue light, E-Beauty Group – a manufacturer and supplier of professional beauty products in Malaysia, which has received numerous accolades for its inventions – introduced ArctaPHOS as the first anti-blue light skincare range in the country.
Utilising the latest in Euro biotechnology, ArctaPHOS is marketed as a formulation that helps to restore the skin’s hydration and natural glow, while also protecting the skin from digital-ageing and environment pollution.
ArctaPHOS’s main active ingredient is Arctalis – pseudoalteromonas ferment extract sourced from a depth of 2,700m in ultra-pure water off Greenland; it is rich in proteins and exopolysaccharides, which has the ability to form a shield on the skin.
At the launch event recently, E-Beauty Group chairman Dr Zhang Guo Shun shared that ArctaPHOS was the latest breakthrough in skincare technology, unveiled by the 23-year-old homegrown company which exports hundreds of its products to over 20 countries.
“We launched ArctaPHOS because we felt that there is an opportunity to develop a new natural skincare range based on latest research about modern day hazards, and blue light is one of them in this ever-growing digital era,” said Dr Zhang, who is from China and has been based in Malaysia for 26 years.
Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) president Datuk Seri Garry Chua, who was the guest of honour, commended E-beauty Group for its research and development, passion as well as time and energy to introduce such products.
E-Beauty Group research and development head Stanwin Zhang said that “powerful” ingredients were needed for the skincare range and the company found a partner in Spain.
Stanwin said the ArctaPHOS range comes in four multifunctional products – a three-in-one cleanser; tonic lotion; multi-protect day moisturiser; and night repair. He added that there are also four types of concentrates for anti-ageing, deep moisturise, brightening and oil control.
In her presentation, Dr Silvia Pastor, the head of scientific research and business development at Spain-based company Lipotrue, said: “Arctalis is a marine active ingredient sourced from Greenland Arctic waters.”
“Arctalis demonstrated to be a unique marine active ingredient with excellent wrinkle smoothing and firming effects. Furthermore, it restores skin hydration and luminosity while protecting from adverse modern lifestyles and environmental factors,” she shared.
Dr Zhang said products in the ArctaPHOS range are priced between RM79 and RM119, and are retailed at Watsons stores and its online platform.
