PARTICIPANTS of the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2019 will be able to enjoy natural coconut water and tasty chips.
Coconut Water (Cowa) Sdn Bhd, which is back for the third time as sponsor, is giving out 2,160 tetrapaks of coconut water and 108 packs of coconut chips.
Cowa, a subsidiary of Linaco Group, is sponsoring RM10,062 worth of products for the walk’s fifth edition.
“We want to sponsor these homegrown products for this event which promotes unity,
“The 100% natural ready-to-drink coconut water in tetrapack is convenient and friendly to the environment as the packaging can be recycled,” Linaco marketing and communications head Mark Law said after presenting the products to Star Media Group’s sales support senior manager Tan Chin Ai at Menara Star.
Law said the company was the first in Malaysia to produce coconut water in tetra prisma packaging, which is “modern, functional and safe for consumption.”
He explained that Linaco started in 1992, producing coconut milk powder and coconut cream and extended its range to include coconut milk in tetrapaks and cans, coconut water, low-fat desiccated coconut and virgin coconut oil.“We are giving out the 330ml coconut water drink to participants to enable them to quench their thirst naturally and replenish their lost minerals without worrying about the sugar content.
“Essential electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium are available in our drink,” he said.
In addition, Law added the company was supplying coconut chips, which come in three flavours – original, honey and chocolate.
“These coconut chips are rich in fibre, tasty and free from preservatives and colouring.
“Cowa coconut chips are made from selected mature coconuts and baked and roasted using equipment that preserves the original taste, aroma and texture,” he added. — By M.Mageswari
