Planning for green city of the future


The study into the built environment of Penang will guide the council in their city planning.

A ONE-YEAR study on housing and social issues in Penang will be conducted by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), said Penang Island City Council mayor Datuk Yew Tung Seang.

Yew said the council had appointed the university to hold the study which will start at the end of this month using RM130,000 funds from the Chair for Urban Studies.
