THE newly upgraded operation theatres at Penang Hospital will reduce the waiting time for elective surgery for patients, said state health committee chairman Dr Afif Bahardin.
He said patients also did not need to be transferred to other government hospitals following the recent completion of upgrading works at the 10 theatres.
