ENTREPRENEURS who feel they might have products to market to China will be able to do so at the 12th China Processing Trade Products Fair (CPTPF) in Guangzhou next April.
Penang tourism development, arts, culture and heritage committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said this would be the chance for local businesses to tap into China’s 1.42 billion population.
“Enterprises in Penang should seize the opportunity to expand their business as there is a huge population in China,” he said after joining 60 Chinese delegates present at a matchmaking meeting in Golden Sands Resort, Penang, recently.
CPTPF will be held in Guangzhou’s industrial city of Dongguan for four days, from April 16 to 19 next year at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre.
Urging local companies to take part and explore new possibilities, Yeoh said between last January and September, Chinese companies invested RM750mil in Penang.
He said in the past 11 years, CPTPF received more than 10,000 enterprise exhibitors and over 1.2 million buyers and visitors.
Companies from over 20 countries are expected to take part in the event.
