College holds health and wellness day

JOHOR BARU: Sunway College Johor Baru will be organising a Health and Wellness Day today from 10am to 3pm in conjunction with the official launch of its new programme – Diploma in Health Care Management,

Sunway College Johor Baru student relations director Linda Lim said there would also be a colouring contest for children while some 30 organisations from health-related industries would be showcasing their products and services.

“Mental and emotional wellness will also be addressed by the counselling and guidance unit of Sunway College Johor Baru through a range of checklists and assessment tools.

“Students preparing for examiniations are encouraged to participate in these assessments to determine their stress levels and be advised on ways to manage themselves more effectively,” she said in a statement.

Lim added that there would also be other highlights and activities such as fitness and Zumba workouts, free health and eye checks, Teddy Bear Hospital, CPR and First Aid demonstrations, family games and lucky draws. Admission is free.
