Opening its doors with a bang

Vicetone is making its Malaysian debut at Dragonfly KL tonight.

HAILING from one of the best nightspots in Jakarta, Indonesia, Dragonfly extends its wings to the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre.

Located on the 50th floor of Naza Tower Platinum Park, Jalan Binjai, Kuala Lumpur, it is the new place to be in town after sunsets every Wednesday to Saturday, featuring textures and elements drawn from Asian cultural influence.

With the new, jazzed-up stellar lighting effect all the way from Barcelona, the 600-capacity Dragonfly KL uses top-notch Void Acoustics sound system to amplify its modernistic touch.

Bringing music patrons and dance lovers a fresh and cutting-edge experience, Dragonfly KL is ready to step into the elite zone, following the footsteps of previously raved records of its first outlet, attaining awards such as The Best Nightlife Venue and Top 100 Clubs in the World by Mondo*Dr Awards, DJ Mag and many more.

Fulfil your nightlife cravings with signature weekly events, along with world-class entertainers.

Dragonfly KL plays beats ranging from late 1990s R&B to new school hip-hop during its weekday signature nights, featuring some of the local scene’s most experienced DJs, including Nesh, Marshmallow, Dan $hiv, Aku Ash and Melissa Jo.

Leading into the weekends, patrons will see a more upbeat modern sound from the club as resident DJs Kenji, Phileon, Jhin and MC Ruff will be playing anything from electronic dance music to open format.

This weekend, Dragonfly KL will see its first international acts.

Vicetone, a Dutch electronic duo who has been topping charts on Beatport and Hype Machine, will be debuting tonight, while Saturday is when ever-popular, regionally based DJ Crystal Q hits the stage.

This past year has been a standout for Vicetone members Ruben Den Boer and Victor Pool, who throughout the course of their career have racked up numerous Top 10 singles on Beatport and #1 singles on the Hype Machine charts.

Vicetone has also appeared on the DJ Mag Top 100 list for the past three years running. 2016 saw the release of the duo’s first EP Aurora on Spinnin’, in addition to returning to the label Monstercat with their acclaimed melodic hit Nevada (over 15 million hits on Spotify).
