MELAKA: The first woman chair of the popular Festa San Pedro at the Portuguese Settlement in Melaka hopes to turn the culturally significant event into a top tourist attraction, not only in the state but also the country.

Jacinta Lazaroo, who was appointed as Village Community Management Council (MPKK) chairman last year and picked to chair the festival committee earlier this month, believes Festa San Pedro can be a signature event for Melaka’s tourism.
