A NEWLY-constructed weir in Sungai Untut near Jalan Union 1, Kuala Lumpur which caused a series of flash floods in the neighbourhood since March, is being demolished.

The weir is part of the mega River of Life project, where a river water treatment plant and interceptor systems were built to treat or clean river water.
