MAGIC World Penang and the Malayan Cultural Magic Show have become the latest tourism draw to receive the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture’s (Motac) Tourism Quality Assurance (MyTQA) stamp of approval.
“The recognition symbolises Penang’s commitment to increase its tourism offerings to generate positive economic growth.
“I commend the innovative use of advanced technology, like the Augmented Reality (AR), to create a fun experience for all,” said Motac Deputy Minister Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik, after opening the magic show.
Ghost Museum, Ice Cafe, Magic World Penang and Malayan Cultural Magic Show operations director Desmond Low said the close collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and Motac could help Magic World Penang draw in more people, particularly foreign tourists.
“The alliance will definitely expand marketing channels which can move the tourism industry forward, not just in the international market, but domestic too,” he said.
Low said Magic World Penang would always support tour agencies through attractive tickets offered on their platforms or at the counter.
