GUESTS of Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd recently attended a Hari Raya do to remember at d’tempat Country Club in Seremban, Negri Sembilan.

The event was a microcosm of the Minangkabau culture and traditions prevalent in Negri Sembilan, with bullock cart rides, traditional dances, batik painting and games like congkak.

Matrix Concepts chairman Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin said the company opted for the “Minangkabau Raya” theme to show off the Minangkabau people’s unique culture and traditions.

“We want more people to know about the Minangkabau culture, which is synonymous with Negri Sembilan. Besides highlighting familiar Minangkabau architectural traits like buffalo horn-like roof structures, we also wanted our guests to learn more about other things Minangkabau such as tarian piring and caklempong music.

“We turned d’Tempat Country Club into an Instagram-worthy venue in conjunction with Hari Raya,” he said.

The property development company also arranged for the appearance of characters from popular local animated shows BoBoiBoy and Didi & Friends, organised a cat fashion show, and set up a mini petting zoo for the two-day event.

Also present at the launch was Mohamad Haslah’s wife Datin Nor Simah Meon and Matrix Concepts group executive deputy chairman Datuk Lee Tian Hock.

Mohamad Haslah added that events such as the recent celebration fostered close ties among residents of Bandar Seri Sendayan where it has presence.

“Matrix Concepts has also gone the extra mile to help the local community by allocating land for places of worship and schools and providing financial assistance to construct them, and sponsored the state football and basketball teams.”

Meanwhile, Matrix Concepts is expected to host an open house for the launch of its double-storey superlink properties at its Resort Homes project on June 22.

Celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, better known as Chef Wan, and TV host-cum-rap artiste Hani Farhana Mohd Hatim, or Hunny Madu, are expected to make an appearance at the event.
