AS PART of its commitment to giving back to society through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, BSN is sharing the blessings of Ramadan and Syawal through its #kongsinikmat campaign this year.

The campaign by BSN in collaboration with mStar, The Star’s Malay language portal, culminated at the Defence Ministry (Mindef) in Kuala Lumpur.

About 500 personnel from the Malaysian Armed Forces,

comprising the Royal Malaysian Army, Royal Malaysian Navy and Royal Malaysian Air Force, received contributions in the form of food and beverages.

Joining the festive occasion at the ministry’s auditorium held in conjunction with Hari Raya were Malaysian Armed Forces and Defence Forces chief Gen Tan Sri Zulkifli Zainal Abidin and BSN chief executive officer Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani.

Also present was BSN chief financial officer Jay Khairil Jeremy Abdullah, who said the CSR initiative focused on appreciating the services of the country’s security forces.

“Our security forces are also part of the community and they ensure the well-being of the rakyat is taken care of,“ he said.

“We hope this initiative will help to raise awareness of these unsung heroes and, at the same time, various parties including

the corporate sector and community can come together and recognise the service of our country’s security forces.”

The #kongsinikmat campaign had also spread festive cheer at three other locations, namely the Jalan Hang Tuah fire station in Kuala Lumur, the Kuala Lumpur police contingent headquarters and the Seksyen 15 fire station in Shah Alam.
