THE #kongsinikmat campaign by Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), in collaboration with mStar, The Star’s Malay language portal, continued to share the blessings of Ramadan by calling at the Section 15 fire station in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The #kongsinikmat food truck made its way to the station and delivered 400 packs of nasi ayam goreng and beverages to firefighters on duty.

Joining the visit was BSN chief financial officer Jay Khairil Jeremy Abdullah, who said this corporate social responsibility initiative focused on appreciating the services of our country’s security forces.

“Those on duty have to always be prepared to respond to emergencies.

“Their service and sacrifices should be appreciated.

“We hope this initiative will help to raise awareness of these unsung heroes.

“We will definitely continue such initiatives when there is an opportunity to do so,” he added.

Among those welcoming BSN and mStar to the station was Selangor Fire and Rescue Services Department Zone 1 head Razali Mohd Nasir.

“Our daily job is to stay alert and attend to emergency situations immediately.

“One time, the team on duty was called to an emergency case in Sungai Buloh just 20 minutes before breaking of fast.

“The firemen carried out their duty and only broke fast after that.

“We are thankful for this initiative. It lifts our spirits and is comforting that we are thought of,” he said.
