King and queen break fast with the public

KUANTAN: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah joined thousands of Kuantan folk in breaking fast at the MPK1 field here.

The royal couple had earlier visited the food stalls at the Ramadan bazaar in Jalan Mahkota, next to the field.

They bought a variety of food including puding raja, sata and pulut panggang, as well as air katira and air durian belanda.

Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, state executive council members and heads of department were also part of the crowd at the field.

Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah then proceeded to the nearby Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah to perform terawih prayers. — By NIK NAIZI HUSIN
