THE Teluk Intan Tourism Association is urging the Perak government to gazette Pulau Bangau as a sanctuary for migratory birds.
Its president, Fong Seow Kai Chuan, said the island is habitat to some 10 species of herons and egrets and hoped to see the area protected before it gets destroyed by irresponsible folk.
