STAR Media Group’s (SMG) success since the newspaper was founded in Penang 48 years ago would not have been possible without the loyal support of its readers and partners over the years.

In a show of gratitude, the group held a StarTreats Partner Appreciation event at Absolute Thai Hot Pot, Bangsar Village 1, Kuala Lumpur.

The partners included Nilai Springs Golf and Country Resort, Blastacars Drift Karts, Best Western i-City Shah Alam, Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur, Osuki Commerce, Motherhood, aquariaKLCC, Klook, SweetHut Holiday, Aeon Fantasy, Avis, Photobook, Shopee, Celebrity Fitness, BloomThis, A Cut Above and Khind-Mistral Sdn Bhd.

Also invited were Solar Time, Ascott International, HappyFresh, honestbee, Zalora, Traveloka, The Herding Day, Focus Point, Kaodim, Hermo, Berjaya Tioman Resort, Redang Island Resort, The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort, Neubodi and Pet Lovers Centre.

“I would like to thank all the partners who have been with us since the start of our loyalty programme and also welcome new partners on board the StarTreats family,” said SMG senior general manager (print) Mohamed Hassan Mohamed Ali.

“In this ever-changing industry and market environment, we strive to be more than just another newspaper publication and bring value to readers,” he said.

SMG introduced the StarTreats loyalty programme in July last year.

“The main objective of this programme is to give something back to our loyal subscribers for their unwavering support through the years,” Mohamed Hassan said.

“There were only eight partners when we first launched the programme and it has grown to 24 now, offering 43 great deals to subscribers.

“We will have a total of 27 partners by next month,” he added.

Mohamed Hassan attributed the success of StarTreats to the fantastic deals and services offered by the partners.

“We are looking forward to working with more partners to benefit our subscribers,” he said.

The gathering also provided opportunities for networking and future collaborations between SMG and the StarTreats partners.

Through StarTreats, subscribers of The Star can enjoy special discounts and rewards from the group and its partners.
