KUCHING: The time to process citizenship applications for children below 21 years in Sarawak has improved to between 16 and 20 months after a state-level special committee on citizenship was set up in 2016, said Welfare, Community Well-being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.
She said the processing time used to be three years or more before the special committee’s formation.
