Timber, machinery worth RM1.4mil seized in raid

SIBU: Expensive Meranti timber logs and machinery valued at RM1.4mil have been seized by the 10th Battalion General Operation Force in a surprise operation on a log pond in Sungai Uka, Poi in Kanowit.

Deputy commanding officer, Supt Frediel Nyambong said that two persons, a 50-year local man and a 39-year old Indonesian, had also been arrested for allegedly being in possession of the items.
