DUNLOPILLO Holdings Sdn Bhd plans to reassert itself as a leading luxury mattress brand with the launch of its new CoolSilk Collection range at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur.
It also announced its new leader who will helm a new Malaysian marketing team with added new dealers and strategies.
Aimed at introducing consumers to the ultimate sleeping experience, the new CoolSilk Collection range is the first of its kind in the country.
Dunlopillo managing director Eddie Ong introduced its new country manager and vice-president Cheng Kai Hin.
“Cheng comes with a lot of experience. The top management and the board have a lot of confidence and trust in Cheng to bring new ways in turning Dunlopillo Malaysia around into a great company again,” Ong added.
He also said in the last six months, Cheng had made changes to Dunlopillo Malaysia which included adding new employees and new dealers.
“Our existing dealers are extremely important to us and we want to continue maintaining our business with them but we wish to grow Dunlopillo Malaysia to a new level with our new dealers,” he added.
In a following marketing presentation called “Dunlopillo is cool again”, Cheng explained how “cool” idiomatically means “trendy and popular” but also literally means being physically cool, which is the main attribute of the collection.
“After joining Dunlopillo for a couple of months, I decided it’s back to the basics for us,” Cheng said as he shared his revamped marketing 4P’s strategy which looked into products, emphasising on people, the pricing strategy and promotions.
The Dunlopillo CoolSilk textile has anti-static benefits that provide users a peaceful, deep sleep while maintaining coolness in the tropical Malaysian climate.
These five premium Dunlopillo models start at a regular retail price of RM4,999 (queen-sized Espirit) to RM16,289 (king-sized Antarctica).
The other models are MaxiCool, Bliss and Galaxy. All come in queen and king sizes only.
