Seeing red over floods caused by construction work

Taman Mutiara Gombak 2 resident Azahar

RESIDENTS of Taman Mutiara Gombak 2 (TMG2), Selangor, are blaming the authorities and a nearby development after stormwaters ravaged their homes, leaving a trail of mud and destruction in its wake.

Resident Azahar Taharim, who captured floodwaters gushing through his kitchen door and submerging his living room and furniture in ankle-deep water, said he held the authorities and the developer responsible for damages, including the collapsed back wall of his house, which yielded to the water pressure.
