New precinct offers homes amid gardens

Ong says Precinct Arundina offers buyers an ecopark address at an affordable price range.

Setia Eco Park’s soon-to-be launched Precinct Arundina in Shah Alam will feature a central park and three garden concepts.

Its general manager, Desmond Ong, said Precinct Arundina is targeted to be launched in June and the showhouses are expected to be ready by August.

“The total gross development value (GDV) is RM660mil and the project is estimated to be completed in six years,” he said.

The new precinct comprises two-storey Semi-D houses spanning 32’x75’ or 38’x70’ in land size, with built-ups from 2,400sq ft.

Ong said the precinct provides buyers an affordable price range for an ecopark address.

“It is situated next to a forest. Precinct Arundina spans approximately 29.5ha, and 33% of it will be green. You will be surrounded by greenery,” he said.

The precint’s name is inspired by Arundina Suria, an orchid species developed from the hybrid of Arundina graminifolia from Vietnam and India.

Ong said this was an exclusive collaboration with Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (Mardi).

“The researcher from Mardi combined these two species to produce a semi-miniature plant with heat-tolerant and compact plant stature characteristics,” he said.

At a recent preview, guests had the chance to experience planting the Arundina.

There were also workshops on how to make flower-pot cupcakes, paint fairy houses and do a pixie makeover as well as a photoshoot for the young ones.

Guests were also given a detailed overview of the precinct and the chance to take part in an experiential garden tour around Setia Eco Park.

The tour gave guests an idea of the pocket gardens to be featured in Precinct Arundina, in line with Setia Eco Park’s landscape development concept.

The pocket gardens between houses will provide access to bigger parks for greater recreation and better views of the houses.

Ong said a clubhouse had been designed exclusively for the residents of Precinct Arundina.

There will also be a Central Garden which will form the green lung of the development with natural waterways and greenery to foster healthy communal lifestyle.

It will be equipped with amenities such as jogging tracks, pavilion, as well as play and fitness equipment.

Precinct Arundina is being developed with Setia Eco Park’s cul-de-sac road system to minimise traffic flow and enhance safety.

Precinct Arundina is open for registration at the Setia Eco Park Sales Gallery in Shah Alam.
