Mall rewards loyal shoppers

EXCITEMENT and anticipation filled Aman Central in Kedah as winners of the mall’s Royal Escapade campaign were determined.

Shortlisted shoppers held their breath, hoping to be the one to walk away with the grand prize of a Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0-litre SUV in metallic red worth RM140,000.

Ultimately, two were called up on stage to choose the correct car key from four random ones given. Fortune smiled on Tan Seok Hua, a 47-year-old working professional who successfully activated the vehicle and became its proud new owner.

There were also great prizes for 25 other winners, including a pair of return flight tickets to Great Britain, two sets of Cosas United luggage, a Serta Hospitality series mattress and a Gintell Massage Chair.

Two Huawei P20 Pro mobile phones, four sets of Parkson cash vouchers worth RM500 each, 10 pieces of Carlo Rino products and three Fossil watches were also given out during the recent ceremony.

The Royal Escapade campaign ran from October last year to February in conjunction with the mall’s 3rd Anniversary.

In previous years, it was known as Drive Me Home.

In his speech, Aman Central centre manager Chow Heng Wah said the campaign was meant to reward shoppers for their continued patronage and support.“It garnered a total of 7,578 entries, an increase of nearly 1,000 compared to last year. This was despite the minimum spending amount required for an entry, increasing to RM200. It proves that Kedahans have relatively high spending power,” he added.

State Industry and Investment, Local Government and Housing Committee chairman Tan Kok Yew said such campaigns benefitted retailers – be it local or international brands – as it drove shopper spending.

“Credit goes to the Aman Central management for working hand in hand with the state to bring new experiences to the people of Kedah and maintain the mall’s position as one of the state’s main tourism draws,” Tan noted.

Also present at the ceremony was Belleview Group managing director and Aman Central owner Datuk Sonny Ho.

Chow added that the mall will welcome many new tenants this year, such as Easy Homes, Rollney, Pizza Hut and Ayamas, to name a few.

“The shopping experience is our core focus and we will have more exciting events such as the Tiny Forest Workshop, Jelajah Suria, International Cat Show and the biggest occasion of the year – our Hajat Raya celebration,” he highlighted.
