Amateurs gonna work it out on the decks

THE Mix Us Happy Malaysia 2018/19 DJ Competition run by Pioneer DJ Malaysia and Project X Party Lab has been running workshops and classes since registration last October and March 15 saw the semi-final round take place in the Le Noir KL Club Lounge.

Throughout the night, all 11 contestants showcased what they had learnt over the past three months in 20-minute sets that got the crowd going.

After putting in their best efforts, six contestants were selected to move on to the Final tonight in the Le Noir KL Club Lounge from 7pm.

Xana, Duaplo, Keyoshi, RenRel, SLT and Hanguailo will be battling it out for Pioneer prizes up for grabs.

Mix Us Happy is a platform to grow the Pioneer DJ brand in Malaysia; to help it stand out in the DJ community.

It is not billed as a professional DJ competition but more of an experience that everyone dreams of, with both Vietnam and Singapore also running concurrent competitions.

In Malaysia, the competition, workshop and classes were curated and run by established and veteran KL DJs such as DJ Chinois, Kooler and DJ Mie.

The party continues after the competition with Kooler, DJ Mie, uNick, MC Clad and Doctor X in the club playing R&B, hip-hop and trap.
