KUANTAN: With the state government not compromising on the enforcement operation against farms in Sungai Ichat, Cameron Highlands, Tanah Rata assemblyman Chiong Yoke Kong has proposed the setting up of a food park programme as a way out for farmers.
Chiong said he fully supported the government’s effort in making agriculture in Cameron Highlands sustainable but claimed the operation was affecting hundreds of families who had been farming there for decades.
