Village to lead environment programme

KAMPUNG Kinjang in Chenderiang, Tapah, has been made the first village in the country under the Desa Harapan (Village of Hope) project to have a year-long environmental education and recycling programme.

The programme, which comes under the Rural Development Ministry, was launched by Berjaya Corporation Bhd (BCorp) to raise awareness and enhance the understanding of various environmental issues and concerns surrounding the village.
