A big quit rent inconvenience

Homeowners queuing up to pay their quit rent at PTGS.

PROPERTY owners who had problems paying their quit rent bills at Pos Malaysia and via online banking should see an end to the inconvenience by next month.

The expiry of the agreement between Pos Malaysia and the Selangor Land and Mines Office (PTGS), and change in the number of digits in owners’ account numbers for a new online system, forced many to go to the nearest PTGS office to pay their bills as Pos Malaysia branches had stopped accepting quit rent payments.
