COMPLY with the law or we will shut you down. This was the strong message sent out by Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) president Shukri Mohamed Hanim during a raid on two plastic processing factories at Zuhrah Industrial Park in Rasa, Hulu Selangor.

Together with media teams from Australia, Germany and Greenpeace representatives, authorities entered the production areas of the illegal factories and discovered the extent of pollution caused by the operators’ disregard for proper containment procedures specified by the Environment Department (DoE).
