Several lanes along the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) on both directions near the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange, will be closed to traffic on March 9 to facilitate steel girder launching works. For northbound traffic to Kuala Lumpur/Damansara, the left and middle lanes of the LDP near the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange will be closed from 12.01am to 5.30am. The fast lane will remain open during this period. However, the fast lane will be closed to traffic for 15 minutes when the steel girder is being lifted into place.For southbound traffic to Putrajaya/Cyberjaya, all lanes on LDP near the interchange will be closed from 12.01am to 5.30am on the same day. Citta Mall and Sunway Damansara Metro Lions Club have set up a Preloved Store featuring a variety of items contributed from local celebrities such as Amber Chia, Baki Zainal, Adibah Noor, Dina Nadzir, members of the Rejuvenate Dance Crew. The pop-up store will be at the mall in Ara Damansara until March 17. All proceeds generated from sales of the preloved items will be channelled to the Lions Club.

Shah Alam City Council is organising its car-free day tomorrow from 6.30am to 9.30am. Several roads such as Persiaran Bandaraya (Dataran Kemerdekaan), Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Tasik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri and Persiaran Damai will be closed to motorists during the event. The KeepAble Cancer Community is organising a KeepAble Cancer Walk themed Purple Wave on June 22 to create awareness and support for cancer survivors. Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) will be organising a gotong-royong themed ‘Search and Destroy’ for the USJ 2 area on March 9. The meeting point will be at SMK Seafield at 7.45am.

The activity is organised to combat dengue in the area. It will be held together with the Petaling District Health Office, MPSJ councillors as well as resident committees from MPSJ Zone 4.
