Beautification of alleyways expected to create 4ha for recreation

SEVERAL backlanes and sidelanes totalling 9km in distance in George Town will be turned into green spaces within the next five years.

This will be implemented under the ‘Backlane Transformation in George Town World Heritage Site’ initiative, said Jagdeep Singh Deo.
