FOR 21 years, I have been living in Paya Terubong, and I watch the suburb grow until gridlock traffic has become the norm at rush hour.

In 1999, huge boulders came crashing down one evening from the hills, just 150m from my apartment. But our land seems to have settled down and many Paya Terubong folk have forgotten about our hillside geography.
