An area next to Mulu National Park cleared for an oil palm plantation.
MIRI: Local rural natives are not being given a voice when it comes to mega development projects in Sarawak, said Sahabat Alam Malaysia (SAM).
Ground surveys by SAM show that vast areas of forests adjacent the Mulu National Park in northern Sarawak have already been cleared, even though locals there have objected, said SAM field officer for Sarawak Jok Jau Evong.
