MBPJ seizes assets over unpaid assessment

A SYRIAN couple renting a condominium unit along Persiaran Meranti in Bandar Sri Damansara were shocked to find enforcement officers from Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) knocking on their door to seize assets, because their landlord had not paid assessment in years.

During the city council’s ongoing Ops Sita operation from Feb 16, the tenants stepped aside to allow the officers to confiscate their television from the unit.
