World-class act at hotel’s CNY do


The Kun Seng Keng lion dance troupe and China acrobats brought festive excitement to the lobby of Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The highlight for the day was watching and greeting the champion lions from the troupe followed by the yee sang toss and acrobatic stunts.

The lions showed off lively acrobatic moves and leaped on high poles with perfect swiftness and accuracy.

The troupe, comprising 22 dancers, blessed the hotel and went to hotel outlets and offices, bringing with them the energetic sounds of the drums and cymbals.

Hotel guests, both locals and foreigners, took the chance to enjoy the performance and snapped selfies with the God of Prosperity.

Ampang Hotel Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Sallehuddin Mohamed, its director Christopher Lim and Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur general manager Gary Lee received the platter of prosperity comprising mandarin oranges, pomelos, bananas and green lettuce from the lions.

Next, the loh sang ceremony took place in the lobby.

The yee sang was beautifully placed on two round tables shaped in the figure of eight.

It is a dish considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigour.

Everyone present at the lobby enjoyed tasting the dish.

For some foreigners, the entire programme was indeed colourful and memorable.

The entertaining performance was a sign of unity and harmony whilst keeping traditions alive.

The last segment of the show saw young acrobats on stage.

Guests continued to take photos and enjoyed the food spread.

It was a joy to see beautiful smiles, uniting all guests from all walks of life during the celebration.
