The six Miss Universe Malaysia 2019 finalists showcasing the jewellery at the Habib showroom in Ampang Point.

MISS Universe Malaysia 2019 finalists were invited to showcase Habib’s Chinese New Year festive collection.

Six finalists were on hand to showcase the jewellery pieces at Habib’s showroom in Ampang Point, Kuala Lumpur.

The highlight of the festive season collection was the launch of the auspicious diamond and rose gold pendant.

The pendant resembles a cherry blossom to bring luck to its wearer.

Habib also came up with an exclusive Year of the Pig Lunar Gold Bar collection to herald good fortune, blessings and prosperity.

The collection was crafted with 916 pure gold to symbolise good luck and happiness.

Habib had earlier announced that it was collaborating with Miss Universe Malaysia 2019 to design the winner’s crown.

Habib is also highlighting the Baba Nyonya or Peranakan Chinese heritage in its collection.

The homegrown jeweller, which originated from Penang, was inspired to uncover and celebrate the golden age of Peranakan Chinese.

Habib Group managing director Datuk Sri Meer Habib said it wanted to feature the Baba Nyonya’s rich culture through jewellery.

“The Peranakan Chinese culture is truly unique and amazing, especially their day-to-day jewellery and also the items they wore on special occasions.”

The Peranakan Chinese-inspired jewellery is available for customisation.
