THONG Thye Siang (TTS) Sdn Bhd and Great Plus Enterprise Sdn Bhd raised about RM1.2mil which will benefit various charitable organisations and schools during a dinner held recently.

More than 1,200 guests attended the dinner at the Hokkien Association Hall in Klang in conjunction with Thong Thye Siang Group’s 35th anniversary.

A total of 83 organisations received the donation from TTS managing director Lim Pay Kaon who was accompanied by TTS chairman Lim Pei Tiam.

From its humble beginnings in 1983, TTS has been experiencing steady growth each year to be where it is today.

“Since 2007, TTS has been heavily involved in charity work. We donated almost RM7mil to various welfare organisations and educational institutions,” said Lim.

“We will continue to uphold the principle of ‘gaining from society, giving back to society’ and make charitable donations in years to come.”

He also expressed his delight at the excellent results TTS achieved last year, adding the success would not have been possible without the support and dedication from his business partners and staff.

TTS organised the “Because We Care” fundraising campaign and successfully raised RM2mil for Hospice Klang recently.

“As a reward for our employees’ contributions, all employees

will be given six additional days

of annual leave from 2019 onwards.

“Furthermore, each employee will receive cash incentives

ranging from RM350 to RM1,300 as a motivator for work,” Lim said.

A lion and dragon dance troupe was invited to perform during the dinner to liven up the Chinese New Year mood.

Guests at the event were also entertained with song and dance performances.
