Company spreads cheer again to senior citizens

SPORTS Toto handed out red packets and mini hampers to 650 needy senior citizens in Penang during its annual Chinese New Year Ang Pow Donation Campaign.

The campaign was held at the Lee Sih Chong Soo Association in Burmah Road.

Penang Chinese Town Hall chairman Datuk Khor Teng Hor, together with Sports Toto assistant general manager (sales and administration) R. Jagadif and senior area sales executive Ahmad Zamri, gave out the gifts.

Penang is one of 50 locations nationwide selected for the campaign which spread joy to over 18,000 needy senior citizens aged 60 and above.

Through the campaign, Sports Toto aimed to instill positive values such as respect and care for the elders.

The company has contributed over RM21mil benefiting more than 391,000 senior citizens nationwide since the campaign’s inception in 1988.

The campaign is part of Sports Toto’s Helping Hands Programme which carries out various corporate social responsibility projects.

Sports Toto also contributes annually to the National Sports Council and sporting events to help develop budding talents.
