DORAEMON fans, young and old, enjoyed a rare treat as the original mascot characters from the famous Japanese manga series made an appearance at Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya.

The event, in conjunction with Chinese New Year, saw Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya and Animation International (M) Sdn Bhd joining forces to bring the festive manga theme to life.

Animation International director Steve Chow expressed confidence that the concept would garner the support of hardcore fans and even attract newfound ones.

The story of Doraemon revolves around the adventures of a robotic cat who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a helpless young boy named Nobita.
