Based on checks by MBPJ, the river flowing downstream from a lake in Kelab Golf Negara Subang towards Sungai Penaga, where water level is high even when it is not raining. (Right) Consultants will be appointed to build flood barriers at Jalan SS5A/14, Jalan SS5A/16 and Jalan SS5A/18.

RESIDENTS in Lengkok Golf SS7, Kelana Jaya may soon be able to heave a sigh of relief, not only because the worst of the monsoon season is over, but also due to the council’s proactive long-term solution to tackle frequent flash floods.

The neighbourhood located in Petaling Jaya suffered its worst flash flood in 22 years last month.
