Dream cruise for property buyers

MORE than 1,000 buyers of the City of Dreams service apartments in Tanjung Tokong were treated to a four-day cruiseon the Star Cruises’ SuperStar Gemini.

As an appreciation gesture for their trust in the property and its developer, Ewein Bhd took them on the City of Dreams Appreciation Cruise for a round-trip from Penang to Port Klang and Langkawi.

Ewein Bhd president and managing director Datuk Ewe Swee Kheng said it had been a great year and they were thankfulfor the support of their customers.

“We are honoured that our maiden project received great response in the market.

“We think this trip will be a good opportunity for us to get closer with our buyers and to better understand their needs and desires,” he said before the cruise left Swettenham Pier.

He said the highlight of the trip was supposed to be a five-hour stop in Phuket but it had to be cancelled because of the inclement weather condition.

“The stop will allow them to disembark and do some sightseeing,” he added.

State Tourism Development, Heritage, Culture and Arts Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said the inaugural cruise appreciation tour was a good and creative effort to promote tourism and the economy.

“The tourism sector is one of Penang’s main economic contributor and it has been doing very well each year.

“We hope the passengers will enjoy the vacation and remember to touch down in Penang to explore more,” he said.

During the recent four-day three-night cruise, passengers were treated to buffet spread, stage shows, performances and cruise facilities.

The cruise tour ended on Sunday.
