MELAKA: The state government has formed a committee to safeguard and preserve the state’s heritage and history.

Chief Minister Adly Zahari said this was done through its subsidiary Melaka Heritage Sdn Bhd and was in line with the recognition requirements of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), and to help generate the state’s economy through the tourism sector.
