NEW TRAFFIC SCHEME
A new traffic scheme by Litrak, Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) and Petaling Jaya City Council will begin today. The traffic scheme will involve reducing the current four-phase signalised system to three phases. Traffic is prohibited from Puchong via the slip road at Jalan SS 7/3; motorists have to take the Jalan Majlis flyover then turn left into Jalan SS 7/9 towards Jalan SS 7/3. Traffic is not allowed from Kelana Jaya/Kepong via the slip road going straight to Jalan SS 8/8. Instead of turning left into Jalan Majlis, make a U-turn towards Jalan SS 8/8. It will be carried out for a trial period of three months to study its effectiveness in improving traffic flow at the Jalan Majlis Interchange. For details, call 03-7494 7333 (LDP).
