Centre’s new website to better serve business events industry

MALAYSIA International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Mitec) has a new facelift in the digital sphere, having officially announced the venue’s new website, www.mitec.com.my.

The development of the website which comes in three phases, sees its first phase being launched after six months of planning.

Mitec chief executive officer Gunther Beissel said the website was one of the important service touchpoints for the centre, hence the thought and care that went into the planning stage.

“Experiencing the Mitec brand starts from the website itself, so apart from serving its purpose of sharing information, our design rationale was to ensure that it is

visually pleasing, immersive and reflects our forward thinking in the business events industry.

“It takes a premium user-guided approach with relevant details laid up front, so users can focus on relevant information.

“They can interact with us by accessing our client portal for strategic business events related intel,” he said.

The website also boasts a clean design which translates into consistent site-wide navigation.

With an improved menu functionality that directs visitors to relevant information, Mitec is confident that the site will showcase the centre’s products and services, including event calendars and destination information.

On the main landing page, visitors will be welcomed by a themed video featuring Mitec’s team members.

The various elements of the venue are expressed in videos and images to accurately depict the vastness of space and extensiveness of the services offered.

“Mitec turned one this year and as a young organisation, we are proud of our achievements. The elevation of the brand naturally calls for a fresh and enhanced look that reflects Mitec as the country’s largest trade and exhibition centre.

“We believe in constantly innovating and evolving to facilitate our clients and stakeholders,” added Beissel.

In the age of the mobile devices, the website is also fully responsive to smartphones with easy navigation that caters to the wide range of web browsers.

The next phase of development, is expected to take place early 2019.
