DESPITE receiving 50% of the tourism tax from the Federal Government back from this year onwards, the state will still continue collecting hotel fees, also known as the local government fee.
State Tourism Development, Heritage, Culture and Arts Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin (PH-Paya Terubong) said the Finance Ministry had announced that 50% of the tourism tax would be shared with the state.
