Double joy for Pustaka Miri as it bags awards

Pustaka Miri Representatives i-Legion group receiving their award during the Library KIK Convention Se-Malaysia 2018 in Melaka.

MIRI: An interactive library search-directory created by the Pustaka Miri electronic library using software tailored from the internet won second place in the Library KIK Convention Se-Malaysia 2018 in Melaka.

Pustaka Miri which is run by Pustaka Sarawak presented their project “i-Nunjok” which is an interactive search-directory intended to help library patrons search for locations inside the library more effectively.

Library representatives i-Legion group received a cash prize of RM2,000, a trophy and certificate during the convention which was jointly organised by the Malacca Public Library Corporation,

Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council and the Council of Directors, Malaysia Public Libraries.

Pustaka Miri also won second place in the Sarawak Zone Inclusive Invention Challenge Competition at the University College of Technology Sarawak, Sibu, for their Kembara Ilmu Module project presented by Pustaka Miri representatives Salina Zawawi and Ahmad Samsudin which won them RM3,000 in cash, a trophy and certificate.
