Remote communication device wins national award

MIRI: The Miri Fire and Rescue Department and Miri Amateur Radio Club (MARC) have won a national innovation award from the Housing and Local Government Ministry for devising a system that enables faster radio communication during rural disaster emergency operations.

MARC chairman Lo Kiun Shin said they won the Innovative Hybrid Design category.
